Terem Moffi set to rejoin…

FC Porto has decided not to exercise the buy option in Terem Moffi’s (27) loan from OGC Nice, meaning the Nigerian forward will return to his parent club, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Moffi was placed on sick leave in November due to an incident involving an attack on Nice’s team bus by their own supporters. Alongside Jérémie Boga, who also sought a way out of the club after their away defeat to FC Lorient, Moffi joined Porto in January. Boga, on the other hand, moved to Juventus, where he is expected to stay.

Although Moffi’s loan included an €8m buy option, it will not be activated. He managed to score just twice in 15 appearances. Now, he will head back to Nice, where he has one year left on his contract. However, it appears he will not stay with Le Gym, as the Ligue 1 club plans to find a new team for the Nigerian international.
