Recent updates indicate that important meetings are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week. These discussions will involve Ralf Rangnick, the Austrian Football Association, and Oliver Glasner, who is being considered as a candidate for the head coach position at Milan.
When will Milan meet with Glasner?
Milan finds itself in a precarious situation, currently without a head coach, sporting director, technical director, or CEO following the exits of Massimiliano Allegri, Igli Tare, Geoffrey Moncada, and Giorgio Furlani the day after the Serie A season concluded.

With ownership under RedBird now focused on restructuring the senior management team, there have been reports suggesting that Ralf Rangnick is the frontrunner to assume leadership of the club’s sporting department.
Rangnick gained prominence in Germany by successfully leading TSG Hoffenheim to consecutive promotions, later serving as Red Bull’s director of football. He has significantly influenced notable coaches like Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, and Oliver Glasner, among others from Germany and Austria.
Rangnick is currently the head coach of the Austria national team, and according to recent updates from Fabrizio Romano (via Milannews.it), he will meet with the Austrian FA on Monday to discuss his future.
The Austrian FA is reportedly eager to extend Rangnick’s contract, but he is aware of the potential opportunity with Milan.

Meanwhile, Glasner is among the leading candidates for the vacant Milan head coach position. He is well-acquainted with Rangnick and recently celebrated his third trophy win with Crystal Palace after defeating Rayo Vallecano in the 2025-26 Conference League.
According to the latest reports from Fabrizio Romano, Glasner is set to meet with Milan representatives on Tuesday.
