Arne Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, is reportedly the top candidate to replace Massimiliano Allegri at AC Milan, as reported by Sacha Tavolieri. The Dutch manager is available as a free agent after parting ways with Liverpool this past Saturday. In his first season, he guided the Reds to a 20th league title, but this year has not met expectations, as the team finished fifth in the Premier League.
Tavolieri has indicated that discussions are underway for Slot to take over at Milan. The seven-time Champions League winners have recently dismissed Allegri and several executives following the club’s failure to qualify for Champions League football for the second consecutive season.
If Slot secures the position at Milan, he would be coaching several prominent French players, including Mike Maignan, Adrien Rabiot, Youssouf Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku.
