Young Manchester United defender Albert Mills concluded his season on a high note, scoring for England.

Esteemed at United, Mills started in both the FA Youth Cup and the Premier League Under-18s Cup finals toward the end of the season.

The Norwich native, who joined United at the age of eight after moving to the north-west with his family, also made significant strides at the Under-21 level this season and participated in first-team training under both Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick.

Mills is expected to be a candidate for the first pre-season match against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18.

His prospects have certainly been boosted by impressive performances for England’s Under-18 team against Greece and Cyprus over the past week.

Mills played the initial hour in the 2-1 victory over Greece and later scored the fourth goal after coming on for the final 30 minutes as England triumphed 6-1 against Cyprus on Sunday.
