Why Comos First Three…

Como’s Serie A fixture list for the 2026-27 season may seem somewhat unbalanced at first glance, but there’s a valid reason behind their three consecutive away matches.

The schedule for the upcoming season was revealed today during a ceremony held at the Teatro Regio in Parma.

It has become apparent that Como will face a challenging start with their first three matches taking place on the road.

These initial fixtures will see them up against Udinese, Napoli, and Genoa.

This arrangement is due to the ongoing renovation of Stadio Sinigaglia, which is necessary to meet UEFA competition standards.

Como has qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history, necessitating this upgrade to their stadium.

Following a stint in Serie B just two years ago, the club preemptively requested that their first three Serie A matches be played away to avoid potential setbacks.
