Florentino Perez…

Florentino Perez will remain president of Real Madrid after defeating Enrique Riquelme in Sunday’s election. This victory ensures that the 79-year-old will lead the club until 2030, marking nearly 27 years in the role out of the last 30.

Following the announcement of his win, Perez delivered a victory speech where he noted that his candidacy achieved the second-best result in Real Madrid’s electoral history, according to Diario AS.

“Today is a joyful day for Real Madrid. I sincerely thank everyone for their support, as we couldn’t have won this election without our members. We achieved victory at every polling station and reached the second-best results in the history of the club’s elections. There were challenges to our votes, but we chose not to appeal. We have emphasized transparency and democracy,” Perez stated.

He also expressed his ambition to bring the Champions League trophy back to the Bernabeu, which has not been seen since 2024.

“My goal is to continue building a leading club known worldwide. We aim to win our sixteenth European Cup. I pledge to address the concerns of those members who may not have supported me,” he added.
