Feyenoord Interested in…

As reported by FR12, Feyenoord is reportedly interested in acquiring Nacho Ferri from Westerlo. The young Spanish striker, who previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt, has spent the last two seasons in Belgium, initially on loan with Kortrijk before making a permanent move to Westerlo last season. At just 21 years old, Ferri is under contract with Westerlo until 2029 and scored 11 goals in 37 appearances last season, an improvement over the eight goals he netted in 34 matches for Kortrijk the previous year.

Feyenoord’s interest in Ferri is understandable. The physical and agile young forward would significantly bolster their attacking options, particularly given his development during his time in the Belgian Pro League. Before his loan to Kortrijk, Ferri made 13 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored once.

Sources from FR12 indicate that Ferri is eager to transition from Westerlo to Feyenoord, especially since the latter offers him the opportunity to compete in European tournaments. Westerlo, however, will likely seek a substantial transfer fee as finding a suitable replacement for Ferri may prove challenging.

In addition to their pursuit of new players, Feyenoord is currently searching for a new head coach following the dismissal of Robin van Persie earlier this week.
