According to a report from Foot Mercato, Ajax Amsterdam is showing interest in Monaco defender Caio Henrique (28).
Henrique was the starting left-back for Monaco last season but faced injury troubles towards the end of the campaign. Although he has been part of Brazil’s squads recently, he missed the call-up for the FIFA World Cup.
There are anticipated changes at the left-back position for Monaco this summer, as Filipe Luis is set to take over as manager, and Nazinho is expected to join from Cercle Brugge. This comes amid speculation surrounding Kassoum Ouattara, who is linked with Besiktas and several Premier League teams, as reported by Foot Mercato.
With just a year left on his contract with Monaco, Henrique could also leave the club. Foot Mercato indicates that Ajax is keen on signing him, with a potential deal around €10 million plus bonuses, while Flamengo has also shown interest.
