While formal negotiations have yet to begin, private discussions concerning a potential comeback have already transpired.

As noted by the report, sporting director Manu Fajardo and club advisor Joaquin Sanchez have been in contact with Ceballos, outlining the necessary conditions for the transfer to proceed.

The first stipulation was for Ceballos to leave Real Madrid without a transfer fee, a condition now met following the termination of his contract.

The second hurdle pertains to finances. Ceballos would need to agree to a significant pay cut, as his current salary surpasses Betis’ budgetary constraints.

Betis Ready to Offer Ceballos Long-Term Deal

Despite an expected salary decrease, Real Betis intends to compensate for it by providing the midfielder with stability through a long-term contract.

The Andalusian club is reportedly considering a contract lasting four to five seasons, enabling Ceballos to return to his lifelong club and become a pivotal figure in their future endeavors.

Ceballos is already aware of the terms Betis intends to offer, and initial signs indicate he is prepared to accept them.

His decision to leave Real Madrid without seeking financial compensation suggests that a move back to Benito Villamarín is his desired choice.

Additionally, Ceballos has turned down offers from other clubs in Europe, including a recent proposal from Ajax, who were ready to pay Real Madrid around €6 million for his services.
