Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Alec Georgen, 27, has officially signed with FC Lorient after his contract with USL Dunkerque came to an end, as confirmed on Tuesday.
Georgen, who developed through the PSG youth system, made just one appearance for the senior team before moving to Avranches in 2019. He then played for AJ Auxerre, Concarneau, and most recently, USL Dunkerque, where he joined on a free transfer in 2024. During his time at the Ligue 2 club, he made 74 appearances, 34 of which were during the last season.

With his contract expiring at the season’s end, Georgen chose not to renew with Dunkerque. Instead, he will be joining FC Lorient, a team that finished comfortably in mid-table in Ligue 1 under manager Olivier Pantaloni last season.
Georgen has signed a three-year contract with Les Merlus and will don the No.2 jersey for the upcoming season.
