Carlisle United has completed the signing of defender Brad Nicholson from Gateshead for an undisclosed fee, alongside his former teammate Kenton Richardson, who has joined on a free transfer.
Both players played under manager Rob Elliot last season.

27-year-old Nicholson has penned a two-year contract, having made 21 appearances for Gateshead after joining from Solihull in January.
Meanwhile, fellow 27-year-old Richardson signed a one-year deal after opting to decline a new contract with Lee Cattermole‘s team.
