The 29-year-old centre-back joins Newcastle after leaving Liverpool at the conclusion of her contract last month, having spent the previous two seasons in Merseyside.

Evans brings a wealth of top-level experience, having begun her career at Cardiff City LFC before making appearances for Yeovil Town, Bristol City, Reading, Manchester United, and Liverpool in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She has nearly 150 appearances in the English top tier.

On the international front, Evans has represented Wales 90 times, scoring two goals for her national team.

Upon joining Newcastle United, Evans expressed her excitement, stating, “I’m thrilled that this move is finally official. I can’t wait to connect with the girls, the fans, and showcase my abilities.”

“I believe this is an exciting project to be part of, and I’m eager to get started.”

Evans marks Newcastle United’s second signing in the summer transfer window.
