Real Madrid confirmed the signing in an official statement, revealing that Dumfries has agreed to a four-year contract, which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2030.
The 30-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s top attacking full-backs, having won several Serie A titles and numerous domestic accolades during his time in Italy.
Real Madrid reportedly triggered his release clause, which is believed to be between €20-25 million, to finalize the transfer.

Arriving at the Bernabeu after a promising World Cup performance with the Netherlands, Dumfries was influential even if the campaign concluded on a disappointing note.
The right-back notched two assists during the group stage, utilizing his dynamic runs and late arrivals in the box to create havoc for defenders.
The Netherlands impressively topped their group, highlighted by a 5-1 victory over Sweden, but their journey took an unexpected turn in the knockout stage, resulting in a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Morocco.
Despite the early exit, Dumfries’ impressive performances validated Real Madrid’s decision to secure his signing.
The announcement of the deal was initially planned for an earlier date; however, it was postponed at the player’s request.
