AS Monaco Compiles Striker…

AS Monaco is preparing for the potential sale of Folarin Balogun this summer. Prior to his impressive performances with the USMNT during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, there was already anticipated interest in him, and the club, having missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification for next season, is open to a sale.

Balogun has showcased his talent with three goals at the World Cup, attracting attention, especially from Premier League teams. Both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been mentioned as potential suitors, while Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked to the Arsenal academy product.

To prepare for Balogun’s departure, Monaco has compiled a shortlist of three potential replacements, as reported by Foot Mercato. One name on the shortlist is Lassine Sinayoko from AJ Auxerre. There has not yet been a formal bid made. However, Get French Football News understands that the Malian striker is eyeing a move to the Premier League amidst interest from English clubs.

Mathis Abline is also a target for Monaco. After a first bid of €15 million was rejected, the club continues discussions with FC Nantes, who will be competing in Ligue 2 next season. The shortlist also includes a third, unnamed striker currently playing abroad.
