Man City Secures Signing…

Manchester City has secured the signing of winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.

The young talent made his debut in Leicester’s first team last season, featuring in 27 matches in the Championship, where he scored once and recorded two assists.

Leicester faced relegation to League One last season and is currently under pressure to sell players in order to meet English Football League financial standards.

Monga, who is just 16, was heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal, but the north London club’s initial offer was turned down, as ESPN sources reported in June.

He will become the fourth addition to City’s summer roster, following the arrivals of French forward Mathys Detourbet, Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles, and England midfielder Elliot Anderson, the most expensive British player ever at £116 million ($154 million).

All these players are joining under new manager Enzo Maresca, who took over from Pep Guardiola this summer.

Monga expressed his excitement on City’s website: “Once I learned of Manchester City’s interest, I immediately knew it was the right decision for me. For any young footballer, joining such a prestigious club is a dream come true.”
