According to L’Équipe, Bruno Guimarães (28) of Newcastle United has reportedly agreed on terms for a five-year contract with Arsenal.
The Gunners had an initial offer of €70 million turned down by the Magpies, but are anticipated to submit a new bid soon, likely around the €90 million Newcastle is asking for. Guimarães has already communicated his intention to join the London side to Newcastle’s management.

If this transfer proceeds, it could also prove beneficial for Olympique Lyonnais. Having been sold to Newcastle for €50 million (including bonuses) in January 2022, the Brazilian could generate an additional €6 million for his former club if he is sold for approximately €80 million, due to a 20% share of any future profit included in the original deal.
This potential windfall would be a significant boost for OL’s finances, helping to restore some of their prior strength.
