Villas Digne Agrees Deal…

Paris Saint-Germain has finalized an agreement to sign Lucas Digne, having activated his £10 million ($13.3m) release clause from Aston Villa, according to a source cited by ESPN.

The 32-year-old Digne reportedly agreed verbally to join PSG immediately after being approached, with personal terms settled swiftly. He is set to sign a three-year contract.

A native of Paris, Digne previously played for his childhood club from 2013 to 2016 before transferring to Barcelona, then Everton, and finally Aston Villa.

Digne is expected to serve as backup to Nuno Mendes, but the source mentioned that coach Luis Enrique and Luis Campos have assured him of regular playtime.

The French international, who has earned 62 caps and is currently participating in the World Cup with Les Bleus, had renewed his contract at Villa Park last season after moving from Everton in 2022 for £30m ($40m), which included the release clause.
