Arsenal is on the verge of finalizing a €40 million ($45.7m) transfer for Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, according to sources at ESPN.
The Gunners are poised to accelerate their pursuit after receiving signals that a deal could be reached at this price.
The 24-year-old is eager for the transfer, and personal terms are anticipated to be settled swiftly once both clubs agree on a fee.
Tzolis’s potential transfer follows Leandro Trossard‘s move to Besiktas, which was worth £15.3m ($20.6m) and structured in six equal payments over three years.
Additionally, Arsenal maintains interest in Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers and Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez, independent of their pursuit of Tzolis.
Tzolis, who previously garnered interest from Crystal Palace, scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists in 52 matches across all competitions last season for Club Brugge.
