Leandro Trossard has finalized his move from Arsenal to Besiktas on a permanent basis.
The Belgium international, who joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023, played a key role in Mikel Arteta’s team last season, helping the Gunners win their first Premier League title in 22 years.

Trossard made significant contributions, scoring six goals in 31 league matches. One of his most memorable moments was netting a late winner against West Ham in May, which was crucial in keeping Arsenal’s title hopes alive.
His last match for the club was in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where he assisted Kai Havertz for an early goal in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw, with Arsenal eventually losing in penalties.

In a statement, Arsenal expressed gratitude: “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valued contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future.”
Throughout his tenure at Arsenal, Trossard made 174 appearances in all competitions, scoring 36 goals.

His late winner at the London Stadium in May, where he converted a pass from Martin Odegaard, is remembered as a highlight, especially as it denied Manchester City a chance to gain ground in the title race—an event overshadowed by VAR controversy that deprived West Ham of a late equalizer.
Trossard now joins the Turkish side after participating with the Belgian national team in the World Cup this summer, where they reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated 2-1 against Spain last Friday.
