The transfer of Karim Adeyemi to FC Barcelona has been agreed upon for some time; however, an official announcement is still pending.
According to SPORT, the club is expected to officially announce the signing of the 24-year-old forward over the weekend once the necessary administrative tasks are finalized.

The German international arrived in Barcelona on Wednesday to complete the transfer, passing his medical examination on Thursday, leaving only the final paperwork to finalize the deal with Borussia Dortmund.
Barcelona Unfazed
Despite the delay, Barcelona is quite relaxed about the situation. Club sources have assured that there are no issues concerning the transfer, and the delay is merely due to the routine exchange and validation of documents between the two clubs, a standard procedure for transactions of this magnitude.

The official announcement is expected on either Saturday or Sunday, while Adeyemi’s public introduction will occur the following week once club president Joan Laporta returns from the United States.
First Day at the Training Facility
As he awaits the completion of the paperwork, Adeyemi has begun acclimating to his new environment. He visited the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper today, taking a tour of the facilities and meeting various members of the Barcelona first team.
Although he did not participate in training, he spent time socializing with his future teammates and conversing with head coach Hansi Flick, a staunch advocate for Adeyemi’s move to the club.

Deal Details
The terms between Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are finalized. Barcelona will pay a fixed fee of €22 million, plus an additional €7 million contingent on performance metrics related to both the player’s individual successes and the club’s overall objectives.
Moreover, Dortmund will retain a sell-on clause entitling them to a portion of any future transfer fee exceeding the agreed amount.
Adeyemi is set to sign a five-year contract lasting until June 2031, marking him as Barcelona’s second significant addition for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
With merely the final administrative approval awaiting completion, the German forward is effectively already part of Barcelona, with official confirmation anticipated soon.
