AC Milan has unveiled their new away kit for the 2026-27 season, which draws inspiration from their memorable UEFA Champions League finals against Liverpool in 2005 and 2007.
It’s fitting that the Rossoneri have chosen Filippo Inzaghi to lead the launch campaign, reflecting on his pivotal role in the 2007 final.
The sleek white jersey features a motto that resonates with Milan supporters during tough times: “After Istanbul, there’s always Athens” emblazoned at the back of the neck.

In 2005, Milan experienced one of the most remarkable comebacks in football history, leading 3-0 at halftime in Istanbul before Liverpool equalized and won the match on penalties. However, the Rossoneri avenged this defeat two years later with a 2-1 victory led by two goals from Inzaghi in Athens, marking their seventh European Cup win.
During that iconic match, assists came from Andrea Pirlo and Kaká, while Inzaghi is now joined in the promotional campaigns by Christian Pulisic, who has a significant presence in the marketing material.
Unfortunately, Pulisic’s 2026 FIFA World Cup performance was hampered by injury, with the United States being eliminated in the round of 16 following a tough 4-1 loss to Belgium.
This defeat was particularly painful for Pulisic, who sustained a bone bruise and microfracture in his lower leg during the match, sidelining him for several weeks. However, the message of resilience displayed on his jersey serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance as he recuperates.
Milan isn’t the only prominent Serie A club releasing their away kit early; Juventus has also debuted their newest alternate jersey.
Juventus has a historical connection with pink, being a nod to their early kits at the start of the 20th century, prior to adopting their well-known black-and-white stripes.
This new pink jersey is stylish, featuring a two-tone collar and sleeve cuffs, with the classic Adidas trefoil logo enhancing the design.
Unfortunately for both Milan and Juve, neither will be wearing their new kits in next season’s Champions League, as both clubs dropped out of Serie A’s top four places, falling behind AS Roma and Como on a dramatic final day of the 2025-26 season.
