According to a recent report by journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal is gearing up to target Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams. The Gunners are reportedly planning to make a new bid to bring the Spain international to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Williams’ Impressive Form in La Liga
During the last season, Williams showcased his talent on the left flank for Athletic Bilbao, scoring six goals and providing seven assists across 32 appearances in various competitions.
Currently regarded as one of the top wingers in La Liga, it’s understandable that Arsenal is interested in acquiring him this summer.
With his contract at San Mames running until the summer of 2035, securing a bargain deal for Williams could be a challenge for Arsenal this off-season.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Pursue Williams?
Williams possesses the speed and agility to outmaneuver defenders and has the vision to deliver critical passes in the attacking third. Adept at dribbling, he can also strike from distance with considerable power, contributing both goals and creating opportunities for his teammates.
Primarily operating as a left-winger, Williams can adapt to playing on the right if required. However, there are questions regarding his adaptability to the physicality and high pace of the Premier League should he join Arsenal.
Bringing Williams into the squad could provide a significant boost to Mikel Arteta’s attacking options, enhancing competition for starting positions at the Emirates next season. At just 24, he is poised to enter his prime years, making him an enticing prospect for the Gunners in this transfer window.
