According to the Sky Germany Transfer Update Show, there is ongoing discussion about Ermedin Demirovic’s future at VfB Stuttgart. His name has surfaced amidst interest from clubs such as Juventus, Fenerbahçe, and Leeds United. While head coach Sebastian Hoeneß seems willing to consider a sale of the 28-year-old, Stuttgart’s management appears to hold a differing opinion.
Currently, Stuttgart is intending to utilize a three-striker rotation including Demirovic, Deniz Undav, and Dzenan Pejcinovic from Wolfsburg. Pejcinovic has already settled on personal terms, although a transfer agreement between the clubs has yet to be reached. Additionally, Jeremy Arevalo is positioned as a development option, while Jovan Milosevic is allowed to seek a move away.

Demirovic has previously drawn interest from the Premier League during his time at Stuttgart. According to a previous report from Get German Football News regarding Leeds’ interest, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international netted 17 goals across all competitions in his debut season after transferring from Augsburg for around €23 million. He also achieved his first Bundesliga hat trick in a 4-0 win against Bochum.

Demirovic entered the previous season in a potential third-choice position behind Undav and Nick Woltemade. However, with Woltemade’s transfer to Newcastle and an injury to Undav, Demirovic stepped up as the primary striker. He responded admirably, scoring three goals and providing two assists in six consecutive Bundesliga starts before suffering a serious foot injury.
He made his return in January, marking his comeback with a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt. Over the course of the 2025/26 season, he concluded with 12 league goals and three assists, further solidifying his importance to the team despite the lengthy hiatus.
