According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ardon Jashari still holds a promising future at Milan.
The 23-year-old midfielder appeared to be on the way out of San Siro following a challenging debut season that included a broken fibula early in the campaign, which limited his opportunities under Max Allegri to just 17 appearances.
However, with Allegri now in the past, new head coach Ruben Amorim is gearing up for the season, potentially reviving Jashari’s Milan career. His skills in both ball distribution and tackling will be essential in the 3-4-2-1 formation Amorim is expected to implement, which requires significant contributions from its central midfielders.
Although Luka Modrić may extend his stay for another year, his age makes it unlikely he will participate in every match, particularly following a demanding World Cup season and with Milan competing in the Europa League.
This means Modrić will begin the next season with reduced playing time, gradually easing into the campaign. A young talent like Jashari could benefit from Modrić’s experience, potentially establishing himself as a key midfielder for the Rossoneri by season’s end. With Amorim’s arrival, Jashari has the chance to rewrite past narratives and make an impression from day one.
Jashari’s contract with Milan, worth €4.63 million annually, runs until June 2030. While a departure is not out of the question, it seems more likely he will continue with Milan for the foreseeable future.
