Jordan Ferri, the former midfielder for Olympique Lyonnais and Montpellier HSC, is considering a return to France this summer, as reported by Foot Mercato.
After leaving Ligue 1 a year ago to join Sampdoria in search of Italian football experience in Serie B, Ferri’s time in Genoa did not go as planned. He made just six appearances in all competitions during his first season.
Despite limited playing time, Ferri is eager to revive his career before the upcoming season. The midfielder is reportedly open to engaging with exciting opportunities in either Ligue 1 or Ligue 2.
Currently under contract with Sampdoria until 2027, any French club interested in Ferri would need to negotiate with the Italian club.
Ferri brings valuable experience as he seeks to strengthen a team’s midfield. A product of the Lyon academy, he has logged 505 senior appearances throughout his career, scoring 29 goals and providing 36 assists.GFFN | George Boxall
