Paris FC forward Willem Geubbels, age 24, is set to undergo a medical examination with US Lecce shortly, according to the Serie A club. “Willem Geubbels will arrive at Brindisi airport at 3:15 PM and will subsequently have medical tests,” US Lecce announced. Geubbels departs the French capital after just one year following the signing of a five-year contract with the Arnault-backed Ligue 1 team. Reports from Le Parisien indicate that Paris FC and Lecce have reached an agreement for a transfer fee of €5 million. The striker is expected to sign a five-year contract with I Salentini.
Last season, Geubbels had a modest impact at Paris FC, netting only five goals across 27 appearances in all competitions. In anticipation of his departure, Paris FC has already secured his replacement, Lassine Sinayoko, a Malian international who has signed a three-year contract with the club.
