Since his arrival, he has made an impressive impact with 20 goals and nine assists in 50 appearances.

The 24-year-old’s standout performances have caught the attention of Barcelona.

Although Pedro’s current contract extends until 2032, Chelsea is eager to offer him an improved deal.

The Premier League side is mindful of interest from rival clubs and aims to secure the striker’s future.

Pedro began his career at Brazilian club Fluminense before moving to Watford in 2020.

He bolstered his reputation with a £30 million transfer to Brighton, where he scored 30 goals in 70 outings over two years.

He had a notable debut season with Chelsea but was unexpectedly omitted from Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad.

This summer, Chelsea has been active in the transfer market, having recently invested £141 million to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

Maxence Lacroix has also joined from Crystal Palace for £52 million.

With new manager Xabi Alonso looking to bring in experienced players, Chelsea is reportedly close to signing Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson.
