“Considering the stature of the club, the manager whom I greatly admire, and the caliber of the players, this is a tremendous opportunity that I couldn’t resist,” Henderson stated.

“I was truly impressed by the ownership’s commitment to Chelsea’s success and their desire to advance the club in the right direction.

“For me, it’s about giving my all every day, both on and off the pitch, to support my teammates and contribute to the team as much as I can. I’m really looking forward to starting.”

Henderson joined Brentford last summer after stints with Ajax in the Netherlands and Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, he had a highly successful tenure at Liverpool, where he clinched six major titles, including the Champions League and Premier League.

During his time with the Bees, he made 34 appearances across all competitions, contributing to the club’s ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
