Wolves kick off their season on Friday with an EFL Cup clash against League Two outfit Port Vale, then launch their Championship campaign a week later at home to Blackburn.
Peixoto said that from his first conversations and training sessions, the squad has shown strong commitment to implementing his ideas.
He added that the team is making strides both physically and tactically, with a growing grasp of their style of play.
While he feels the level is encouraging, he stressed there is still plenty of room for improvement.
Before Edwards was dismissed, Wolves re-signed striker Raul Jimenez and brought in full-back Kieran Trippier. Since Peixoto’s arrival, winger Rafiki Said has been the only addition.
Peixoto expects further movement before the transfer window shuts on 1 September and says he is clear on which areas need bolstering.
He noted that deals are progressing despite World Cup-related delays and emphasized that the club has a clear plan and priorities.
For now, he is focused on the players at his disposal and is pleased with their application, intensity, and togetherness.
He said it’s vital to assess the current group closely to find the right solutions to elevate the team, adding that he is satisfied with the squad he has.
