Besiktas manager Vincenzo Italiano is reportedly keen on reuniting with Giovanni Fabbian, according to sources in Turkiye. However, Lazio has also expressed interest in the Fiorentina midfielder.
Former Bologna and Fiorentina coach Italiano is embracing a new chapter in his career after taking the helm at Besiktas this summer in the Turkish Super Lig.

Besiktas has made several attempts to bolster its squad with players from Serie A, although not all of their approaches have been successful.

As per Fanatik, Italiano has advised the club to pursue a deal for Fabbian, the 23-year-old midfielder currently with Fiorentina.
Italiano previously worked with Fabbian during their time together at Bologna, after which Fabbian joined Fiorentina in January 2026.

The transfer involved a loan agreement with an obligation to buy for €13 million, plus €1.5 million in add-ons contingent on Serie A safety, which was activated over the summer.
In addition to Besiktas, Lazio has shown interest in Fabbian, building on previous inquiries from Sassuolo.
He is currently under contract at Stadio Artemio Franchi until June 2030.
