The financial terms of the deal have been fully agreed upon by both clubs. Real Madrid will pay a guaranteed fixed transfer fee of €125 million to the Bundesliga side.
In addition to the fixed fee, the deal encompasses several performance-related bonuses.
With easily attainable bonuses, the total cost of the transfer could quickly rise to €135 million.
If all the more challenging performance-related bonuses, such as individual or team trophies, are achieved during the player’s contract, the total could ultimately escalate to €140 million.
