Rotherham United has signed Sonny Aljofree, a young talent released by Manchester United this summer.
The versatile 22-year-old, who can play both as a centre-back and right-back, has agreed to a two-year deal, with Rotherham retaining an option for a third year.
During his time with United, Aljofree helped secure the FA Youth Cup in the 2021-22 season, although he did not make an appearance for the first team.
He has gained valuable experience through loan spells at Altrincham, Accrington Stanley, and most recently, Notts County.
The son of former Plymouth Argyle player Hasney Aljofree, he has been trialing with Rotherham during pre-season.
