Could there be the ultimate love story in the world of football?
Coventry City supporter Chloe certainly thinks so, and she recently shared her remarkable journey of meeting her fiancé, Reece, with BBC Radio CWR’s Lorna Bailey.
“At the time, I was single and enjoying my independence, focusing on my own life and eagerly anticipating the football season,” she recalled.
“Then, on August 26, 2025, I found myself sitting next to a guy named Reece during an away match against Millwall in the Carabao Cup.
“Just a few days later, we went on our first date, and by May, we were engaged. I never expected to find a fiancé at a Millwall away game!
“I had attended the match alone, which is how I met Reece. He and his dad welcomed me into their group, inviting me to join them in the stands.
“And as they say, the rest is history!”
