“The offer was just under €40m, with potential bonuses pushing it to €45m—which is deemed insufficient for Köln! Bild has also reported on this rejected offer,” he tweeted.

“Köln intends to keep El Mala for the upcoming season, unless an exceptional offer is made. Their asking price remains a minimum of €50m.”

While Liverpool may lose out on Said El Mala, they could compensate by signing Ibrahim Mbaye

At present, Liverpool’s right-wing position is a pressing issue.

If Salah were still part of the squad, he would undoubtedly be their first choice for that position, regularly starting under Iraola.

However, due to the fallout from Arne Slot’s management, there seems to be no return for the Egyptian superstar.
