West Brom in talks to re

Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer is in discussions with West Bromwich Albion about a permanent move back to The Hawthorns.

Collyer has been part of Michael Carrick’s pre-season group and played the second half of last week’s draw with Leeds United at Croke Park, covering while Mason Mount was out injured.

Even so, it has long been expected that he would leave Old Trafford this summer, and talks are understood to be in the early stages.

Collyer spent the first half of last season on loan at West Brom, making 12 appearances—three as a starter—before returning to United in January. After recovering from a calf issue, he joined Hull City but was restricted to five games due to further fitness problems.

Hull, promoted to the Premier League, were interested in bringing him back, but no deal has been agreed.
