Diego Moreira (22) has made a record-setting transfer to AC Milan. The sale of the Belgium international marks the highest transfer fee in the history of RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Moreira transitioned to Strasbourg from partner club Chelsea and quickly became a vital player for Le Racing. Over 76 appearances with the Ligue 1 team, he achieved 16 assists and scored seven goals. His transfer this summer was expected as the club enters a new phase. While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, L’Équipe estimates it at €50 million, excluding bonuses, making it a record sale for Strasbourg.
His departure follows the exit of club captain Emanuel Emegha, who officially joined Chelsea in September, and Valentín Barco, who has also signed with the London club. Additionally, notable players such as Julio Enciso and Abdoul Ouattara have also left the Meinau this summer.
