Mokbel had previously reported that Micheli attended a match to scout Bartishvili while he played on loan for Iberia 1999 against Flora in a Champions League qualifier.

Bartishvili’s parent club is FC Kolkheti, both clubs are affiliated with the Georgian football league system.

Given that Georgian football operates on a calendar-year schedule, Bartishvili’s loan deal won’t conclude until December. He may also not be officially able to sign with Arsenal until March 2027, when he celebrates his 18th birthday.
