The Denmark U21 international made eight senior appearances for United during the 2024-25 season under Ruben Amorim but didn’t feature last term, only making the bench once. However, he played a pivotal role in the under-21 squad, contributing to the team’s journey to the FA Youth Cup final with 20 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.
The transfer window in the Netherlands remained open until Wednesday, which allowed Willem II to finalize the deal after the window had closed in England a day earlier.
In other news, another United striker, Joshua Zirkzee, was targeted by Everton in a late bid on Tuesday, as reported by ESPN. The attempt came after Everton’s pursuit of US striker Folarin Balogun fell through in the final hours.
Sources informed ESPN that the proposal for Zirkzee was for a season-long loan with a permanent option, but it was turned down by United as they deemed the interest too late to allow time for finding a replacement.
