Bruno Fernandes Shuts Down…

According to BBC Sport, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes (31) has no plans to join the Saudi Pro League, despite ongoing speculation linking him to a move to the Middle East.

The Portuguese midfielder previously declined lucrative proposals from Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad last summer and is firmly committed to Manchester United’s long-term vision under co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Close sources to Fernandes have rebuffed rumors of a potential departure after next summer’s World Cup, emphasizing that the 31-year-old is dedicated to competing in Europe’s elite leagues.

Fernandes, whose contract extends until 2027 with an option for an additional year, is pivotal to United’s success both on and off the field. This season, manager Ruben Amorim has positioned him in a deeper midfield role, a tactical move intended to enhance his influence during matches. While some critics feel this restricts his offensive contributions, Amorim contends that the switch has improved United’s match control.

Recently, Fernandes marked his 100th goal for the club during his 200th Premier League appearance, solidifying his status as one of United’s modern legends. Amorim commended his captain, stating: “That guy deserves to be in the history of our club, not just for what he does, but for what his team conquers.”
