Roma Set Sights on…

AS Roma is already gearing up for the winter transfer window, particularly aiming to strengthen their midfield.

This focus comes as Neil El Aynaoui is set to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco in January, leaving a gap in the squad.

In this context, Roma has shown interest in Boubakary Soumaré, a 26-year-old French midfielder currently playing for Leicester City.

According to SportsBoom, Leicester is open to selling Soumaré to avoid losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires in June. The reported asking price is around £10 million. Soumaré has seen reduced playing time lately, and the club is receptive to incoming offers.

Besides Roma, both Sevilla—where he spent last season on loan—and Monaco have also expressed interest, suggesting a potential transfer in January is on the horizon.
