As previously noted, Real Madrid is set to seek defensive reinforcements during the upcoming summer transfer window, with David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger potentially departing at the season’s end when their contracts expire.
Prominent targets including Ibrahima Konate, Dayot Upamecano, and Marc Guehi have surfaced as potential acquisitions for the Spanish giants as they prepare for the summer.
However, the Merengues are also keen on promoting talent from their academy, identifying Joan Martinez as a promising candidate for first-team advancement, with Xabi Alonso closely monitoring the young player’s development.
Jacobo Ramon also under consideration
Additionally, as reported by Defensa Central, Real Madrid remains interested in former academy defender Jacobo Ramon, who left the club last summer.

Jacobo departed Real Madrid to join Como last summer in a transfer deal valued at €2.5 million plus add-ons. As part of the agreement with the Serie A club regarding Nico Paz, Los Blancos secured a 50% sell-on clause and buyback options for Jacobo for the next three years.
Since moving to Serie A, Jacobo has made a strong impression, featuring in six matches for Cesc Fabregas’ squad and even netting a goal.
Real Madrid continues to monitor his development closely at the Italian club, ready to utilize their buyback option in their agreement if they choose to bring him back.
It’s also understood that Los Blancos have plans to activate a buyback clause for Nico Paz from Como next summer. It will be intriguing to see if they extend the same opportunity to Jacobo as well.
