What a match! Bournemouth, for much of the game, found themselves sitting atop the live Premier League standings ahead of fixtures involving Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. Eli Kroupi, just 19, netted his first Premier League goal on his full debut in the 7th minute and doubled the lead in the 38th minute. Mateta then pulled Crystal Palace back into the game with two goals in the 64th and 69th minutes, dominating the second half and limiting Bournemouth to just two shots from the 46th to the 88th minute.

Ryan Christie thought he had clinched the win for Bournemouth with a strike from Marcus Tavernier’s cross in the 89th minute, but there was one last twist in the tale. Mateta equalized with a penalty in the 97th minute and nearly scored the game-winner moments later, only to sky his chance from close range and find himself in despair by the final whistle.
