A statement from Maccabi declared, “In light of the police’s recommendation, the decision has been made to cancel the Tel Aviv derby this evening.”
This decision follows the recent ruling by Birmingham’s Safety Advisory Group, indicating that Maccabi fans will not be allowed to attend the Europa League match against Aston Villa next month.
