Barcelona Monitoring…

In a recent update on X, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Barcelona is closely monitoring Hoffenheim’s striker, Fisnik Asllani. The club is reportedly considering a move to secure the Kosovan talent’s signature in the upcoming year.

Asllani’s Strong Performance in the Bundesliga

The 23-year-old Asllani has been showcasing commendable form at Hoffenheim, contributing significantly in the attacking third. So far this season, he has netted five goals and provided two assists in just seven appearances across all competitions.

Asllani has demonstrated his effectiveness in the opposition half, averaging 3.75 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga, with 36.8% of those attempts landing on target. Nonetheless, he needs to enhance his link-up play, given his pass completion rate stands at 64.1% in Germany’s top flight (stats via fbref.com).

His current agreement with Hoffenheim runs until the summer of 2029, meaning Barcelona would need to present a compelling offer to entice the club into parting with Asllani next year.

What Can Asllani Bring to Barcelona?

Asllani has the ability to create space for himself and take aim at goal, demonstrating a knack for generating opportunities for his teammates as well.

His intelligence in movement within and around the opponent’s penalty area makes him a valuable asset, as he can also contribute by scoring goals regularly. However, it remains to be seen how effectively Asllani can adapt to La Liga should Barcelona successfully bring him in next year.

Given his potential to elevate the quality and depth of Barca’s attack under manager Hansi Flick, Asllani is well-positioned to serve as an impactful squad member at the Nou Camp.

At only 23 years of age, he is in a prime phase of his career, making him an attractive prospect for Barcelona to pursue in 2026. It would be prudent for Flick to intensify efforts to secure his talent soon.
