Inter Milan Star Pio…

Francesco Pio Esposito, the promising talent from Inter Milan, has shared insights into his relationship with manager Cristian Chivu.

In an interview on Inter’s Matchday Programme, featured on FCInterNews, the 20-year-old praised Chivu’s significant role in his development.

Esposito has emerged as one of the brightest young stars in Europe.

After a successful loan at Spezia, the young striker has showcased his abilities at the top level this season.

Additionally, Chivu played a crucial role in convincing the club to retain Esposito amidst surging interest from other teams.

Consequently, Inter rejected multiple offers for their rising star during the summer, including a substantial €40 million bid from Napoli.

Esposito has since justified the club’s faith in him with a series of stellar performances at the beginning of the 2025/26 season.

He has already found the net in both the Champions League and Serie A.

Moreover, new Italy manager Gennaro Gattuso awarded Esposito his first senior call-up in September.

Esposito made a memorable debut by scoring in Italy’s World Cup qualifying triumph over Estonia last month.

“The most valuable lesson I learned came from my first coach at Inter, Davide Aggio,” Esposito shared.

“He instilled in me the importance of belonging to a prestigious club like Inter from day one.”

“He emphasized the significance of proper conduct, both on and off the field, since wearing this jersey is a privilege.”

Then, he spoke about his connection with Chivu.

“We share a wonderful relationship since we’ve grown together in our respective roles.”

“I was part of the U14 squad during his initial year as coach, and then we transitioned to the Primavera and finally the first team together.”

“Our journey together has created a special bond between us.”

“In the Primavera, he entrusted me with significant responsibilities, including the captaincy; he is a person of great values whom I hold in high regard.”

He also reflected on his siblings.

“What would I take from my brothers? From Salvatore, I’d take his game vision, and from Sebastiano, the ability to control the ball effortlessly.”

Finally, Esposito revealed what has pushed him in his career.

“My desire to work hard,” he added. “Without my unyielding determination, I wouldn’t have reached this point.”

“Additionally, the physical development I underwent while at Spezia after the Primavera played a crucial role in my progress.”
