Maldini Kacurri, Arsenal loanee, excels during his loan spell at Morecambe FC, clinching the Player of the Month accolade for October.
Arsenal’s own Maldini Kacurri has been recognized as Morecambe FC’s Player of the Month for October, securing an impressive 70% of the vote this past week.
Morecambe highlighted Kacurri in a shortlist of four players, complimenting him as a “commanding presence at the back” and noting his “composure, defensive awareness, and maturity beyond his years.”
The nomination emphasized that Kacurri’s “consistency at the heart of defence has been instrumental in several strong team performances.”
Kacurri wasn’t alone in the running for the award, as fellow Hale End graduate Miguel Azeez was also nominated, alongside Jake Cain and Joe Nuttall.
This month, Kacurri made seven appearances for Morecambe, featuring five times in the National League and twice in FA Cup qualifiers.
His standout performance came against Boston United, where he helped secure a clean sheet while also providing an assist for one of the goals.
Morecambe’s next match is set for Saturday, November 8th at 15:00 GMT against Sutton United, as they aim to climb off the bottom of the National League table.
With Sutton only above them on goal difference, this match presents a vital chance for Morecambe to move out of the relegation zone.
