Aberdeen’s revival faces its toughest challenge yet tonight with the arrival of Strasbourg.
The Dons are on an eight-game unbeaten streak across all competitions; however, their hopes in the Conference League are precariously low, having only garnered two points from four matches so far.

Liam Rosenior’s Strasbourg is currently performing well, sitting in second place, level on points with leaders Samsunspor, and they recently secured a victory against Crystal Palace.
“Jimmy Thelin has really managed to stabilize the situation,” Herald football writer Stephen McGowan shared on the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast.
“It’s important to remember the difficult position he was in. His team has started finding the net again, scoring three goals in their last two games, which had previously been a struggle. However, this is still a very tough opponent.
“Strasbourg is second in the Conference League and among the favorites to clinch the title. Despite that, they have only managed one win in their last five league matches.

“Realistically, Aberdeen would have to win every remaining game to have a chance of progressing, and I find that hard to believe is attainable.
“Thelin has shown he can be pragmatic; that was evident in the Scottish Cup final. A gritty, defensive effort will be essential for securing a point tonight.”
