Aberdeen Still at Risk

Aberdeen Still at Risk

Aberdeen supporters, we sought your opinions following Friday night’s 2-2 draw with Livingston.

Here’s what some of you had to say:

Chris: Honestly, my biggest concern after last night is Stephen Robinson’s team selection. As time goes on, I’m increasingly anxious about who he might let go and who will replace them. We’re not St Mirren, and with all due respect, we don’t want to become like them. We need players who are eager to fight for the club, like Graeme Shinnie and Topi Keskinen—we just need nine more like them.

John: Livingston earned their draw, but there were still many positives for Aberdeen. Both Dennis Geiger and Mitchel Frame built much of the pressure in the first half, and Kevin Nisbet finally seemed to be showing some enthusiasm. We’re not safe yet; every match counts.

Malky: The first half showcased the kind of play we all want to see from our Aberdeen team. However, we missed numerous golden chances, and as often happens in football, it came back to haunt us. The second half revealed ongoing weaknesses in the squad, and some players just aren’t suited for Aberdeen. I dislike singling people out, but Alex Jensen is a liability, and we need to move players like him on.

Andy: In the first half, we looked like a genuine footballing team, but in the second half, the familiar nerves resurfaced. The Dons simply can’t cope when any team comes at them. We need more composed players in the midfield. Livingston definitely deserved the draw.

Jim: Another disappointing performance, yet again a match where we should have secured three points by halftime, but ended up dropping two. The head coach’s comments are starting to resemble those of Jimmy Thelin—excuses, excuses.

Stuart: A point is a point, but it really should have been three. Hats off to Livingston; they came out firing in the second half.
