AC Milan Formulates…

In recent weeks, discussions surrounding Robert Lewandowski’s future at FC Barcelona have intensified, particularly as his contract is set to expire at season’s end.

Despite the striker’s impressive performances both for Barcelona and the Polish national team, there have been no signs that the club intends to offer him a contract extension.

With the possibility of him becoming a free agent in the summer, Serie A powerhouse AC Milan has emerged as a potential suitor for the Polish forward.

AC Milan’s Strategy for Lewandowski

According to Tuttosport (h/t SPORT), Milan is keen to secure Lewandowski’s services and plans to make a strong offer of at least two years, assuming Barcelona opts not to renew his contract.

The Rossoneri aim to address their immediate attacking needs by securing a short-term loan for a striker this January and then going all out for Lewandowski in June, looking to establish him as a key offensive player.

Initial discussions have taken place, and starting in January, they will endeavor to persuade the veteran forward to make the move.

Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, has begun negotiations with Lewandowski’s camp, leveraging his close relationship with the striker’s agent, Pini Zahavi, following their successful loan arrangement for Christopher N’Kunku earlier this summer.

Tare plans to offer Lewandowski a medium-term contract that would allow him to conclude his career at a prestigious level in European football, which aligns with the player’s aspirations.

For the time being, Milan will not seek to sign a permanent striker during the January transfer window, opting instead to await Lewandowski’s decision, which is anticipated at the end of the season.

Lewandowski himself is in no rush to determine his future, nor is Barcelona hurried. The outcome will largely depend on the player’s performance and fitness in the upcoming months.
