Ancelotti Urges Patience…

Endrick was discussed during Carlo Ancelotti’s press conference on Thursday (18). The Brazil national team coach indicated that the Real Madrid forward is unlikely to start in the crucial match against Haiti on Friday (19).

Initially, he refrained from revealing the lineup for the match against the Caribbean team, stating, “No, I’ll tell the team tomorrow (Friday). I don’t think this is the time. That’s all. I have no problem announcing the lineup now. Football has no secrets. But I prefer to tell the players first“.

There is a strong expectation that Matheus Cunha and Danilo will be included in the starting lineup, although there is still some uncertainty regarding the choice between Paquetá and Danilo Santos.

Ancelotti also discussed the different styles of the attacking players at his disposal, particularly highlighting Endrick’s unique qualities.

He stated, “Matheus Cunha links up play more effectively; he excels as a second striker rather than as a main target, while Igor Thiago provides a physical presence. Endrick doesn’t fit neatly into either category; he is an extraordinary talent who Brazil will benefit from in this World Cup and the next. He displays a commendable level of patience and maturity for his age, and having his family around him is beneficial“.

When asked about Endrick, he reiterated the need for patience, asserting, “I’ll bring Endrick in at the right moment. We have to wait a little; he will be important“.
